From Monday, 19th October the following regulations come into effect in all of Switzerland:

Masks now mandatory in publicly accessible indoor areas, including all shops, shopping centres, banks, post offices, museums, libraries, cinemas, theatres, concert venues, indoor areas of zoos and botanical gardens, restaurants, bars, discos, casinos, hotels, ...
in all railway stations (also platforms) and airports, also at bus and tram stops.

Spontaneous gatherings:
Spontaneous gatherings of more than 15 persons are not permitted in public.

Private events:
At private events attended by over 15 people, food and drink may only be consumed while seated
Anyone standing up must wear a mask
Contact information must be gathered

Restaurants, Bars, clubs:
In restaurants, bars and clubs food and drinks may only be consumed sitting down

IMPORTANT: Some cantons might have stricter regulations!

If you are feeling unwell or have been in contact with someone who has been tested positive, please stay at home and either do the Coronavirus Check ( or call the official Coronavirus Infoline (+41 58 463 00 00), which is available 6am-11pm. They can give recommendations on what to do next (test, quarantine, isolation etc.).
